Over priced for what it is. The burger meals don't come with anything, so you have to order chips etc separately which works out 9.25 for a burger and chips. I had the omelette which was really not very nice at all. And that was 7.50.Ridiculous prices for a cafe. The place is pretty run down and needs a good makeover. Service was friendly but very slow. Wouldn't be returning.

Generally very good quality food at amazing modest prices. You really need to go in here with a ravenous appetite the portions ate on the large side.

After having meals at the Deep Mill Diner over the past three years, I have noticed during the past four months a dramatic deterioration in the quality of the food. Back in October I had plaice and chips, one of the meals from the fish section of the menu. I was delighted to find that the large fillet of place was a back fillet and not the thin belly fillet of the fish. it was cooked to perfection in what were good quality bread crumps. I said to my mother who I accompanied for a meal at the Diner, that this was the best fillet of plaice I had eaten for a considerable time. It is worth pointing out that I have eaten fish of a vast variety of species strait from the sea, being as my husband is a angler and he has also done some commercial sea fishing in the past. So when in November I asked for the same dish and found a watery, greasy, very thin belly fillet of plaice totally lacking in any flavour, I am sure one could imagine my disappointment. Since that time I have had lasagnes and these I found acceptable. Then recently with my mother again on the Thursday10/01/2019,we both ordered the Steak and kidney pudding. It was horrible being nearly all stodgy suet, with only two lumps of the most grisly, small cubes of about half an inch square of what I assumed was beef and no kidney what so ever. My mother and I were bitterly disappointed and will no longer eat at the Deep Mill Dinner again, due entirely to the massive deterioration in the quality of the food, that for price was once outstanding.

Quite a run down place! Quality of food and service is okay. But this place can do so much better.

Enjoyed our meal here. Licenced premises. Friendly and welcoming staff. Basic decor but nice place to pass a couple of hours
