Good value B&B for the location: We stayed here for a few nights whilst work was being done to our house. The room was small for a double (they are intended as study bedrooms for those intending courses) but for 80 a night we got a room in the main house with ample hospitality tray, iron and ironing board, TV and slippers, and buffet breakfast included. The bathroom was perhaps a little dated, but everything worked.
Went for tea with 4 others to see what it was like as thinking of doing New Year there. Surrounding ok, we were the only visitors taking tea. We were then told no New Year party in 2019 due to wedding.Tea Inc cream scones very good.
Beautiful building. Superb staff. Excellent food. Friendly welcoming atmosphere. Our conference took up 6 rooms and a marquee. All well set up easy to find and with good heating (it was a very cold day)
Good location, fresh air, nice scenery, beautiful garden. Authentic surrounding. The rooms are basic but have all essentials. The view from my room was very nice.
Well it was a Christmas works do so didn't have too high an expectation. I've marked it down simply because I ordered trout and I don't care what anybody tells me, that was salmon, certainly not trout. Now I don't mind salmon but it would have been nice had they have been open and honest about that.
