A lovely little museum. A lots smaller than I had been expecting, but the exhibitions and interactive play room were very good. Lovely and bright, and a nice balance of information about the author and fun activities for the kids. The staff member was great as well - had our tickets ready and waiting for us (a nice personal touch)! I took my 4, 6, and 8yr old and they all absolutely loved it. Would recommend.

Bright, creative and hugely interactive. This modest museum blends some interesting facts and history about Roald with engaging interactive displays based on his books (I'd say suits ages 3 up to 11ish yrs). Invent a word, dress up, create a short story, stick in, listen to the short story telling. And a great tea room attached. We easily spent 2 hours here. Then out for a walk around the picturesque village to burn off the cake.

A very nice small museum. The children loved the story time where someone reads one or two parts from Revolting Rhymes and some of the children (and possibly a parent) get up and help with the story telling. There are a number of rooms that cover interesting facts about Roald Dahl, such as his original shed where he wrote most of his books. There is also an area where the children can get creative with words or pictures.

I had reservations about visiting this museum; it seemed very small and I assumed it would not have much to offer. Taking my 7yr old and 10yr old during a half-term break seemed quite risky but I needn't have feared - they had a wonderful time. Small it is but jam-packed full of information, activities and interactive areas to amuse everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definitely go back!

Super friendly staff with beautiful exhibits and some well considered points of interaction for the kids. There wasn't as much as I was expecting and having traveled some way I couldn't help feeling a little disappointed. The kids seemed very pleased.
