Great food and service. Well worth a visit
Under new management. Sunday roast was the best Ive had ... and Ive had a few. Friendly and helpful staff accommodated our group of 10 hikers. Brilliant service, delicious ales and lovely fireplace. Cant recommend this excellent pub enough.
Lovely place to stop while out on a walk, always have a fire on in winter, lovely staff and great selection of beer and cider. Great entertainment provided on a weekly basis
Not worthy of a star but as that isnt an option I have given it 1. Went in was insulted by people at the bar When I entered and again on the way out! The staff were blunt and rude and thats me being polite! Have been to this pub for years and its not what it used to be! Sad to see a nice pub run by people who will run it in to the ground!
Came to this country pub for a pre Christmas get together: the friendly bar service we received was far superior to other pubs we have visited, the ales, lagers and wines being explained was a nice touch, especially on a busy night. The food going to tables looked excellent, a large choice on the menu, we didn't stay to eat, our reasons, one loud table swearing, and free range children, a shame as our initial expectations were let down.
